When you do a border run before your visa expires, do you get an extra 30 days on top of your current visa duration? Or do you only get 30 days from the date you re-enter?

When you make a border run before your visa expires, any remaining time on your current visa is canceled upon exiting the country. Upon re-entering, you receive a new stamp granting you 30 days on a visa exempt entry.

when you stamp out of the country any time you had remaining on your previous stamp is canceled. Then when you re-enter you'd get stamped in for 30 days on a visa exempt entry.
