Hello. Does anyone have experience of applying for a Non-Immigrant O visa in the UK, without being able to show proof of monthly income?
As a business owner, I draw the bulk of my income in the form of dividends, as and when required. This means that I do not meet the criteria of being able to show a monthly income of more than £1,400.
Would a letter from a chartered accountant certifying net worth, suffice? I have emailed the Thai embassy in London however am yet to receive a response.
Any help much appreciated!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The inquiry concerns applying for a Non-Immigrant O visa in the UK without proof of monthly income, specifically regarding the use of a chartered accountant's letter certifying net worth. Responses indicate mixed experiences, with some applicants being refused for not meeting income requirements, others mentioning bank balance requirements instead, and one individual successfully applying without proof of income after clarification from the Thai embassy.
To update on this, despite what it says on their website, no proof of income was required. I emailed the embassy in order to obtain some clarification. The reply came back (within a few hours) listing requirements. All as per their website, with the exception of proof of income of which there was no mention at all. Went up the following morning, applied for visa and then collected it 24 hours later.
For what would your Non Imm O status be? Marriage ? Because it too can be to begin a 'retirement' (leading to a one year Extension of stay and volunteering) Thus my confusion
Yes, this may be one way around the problem. Not necessary to show monthly income, just 800K baht in bank account. Although I am under 50 so possibly not allowed to apply on grounds of age.
I applied in London and was refused as couldn’t prove income, worked in oil 31 years and have enough savings but no income and pension as retired early
