Hi there! Any recent information about a border bounce at hat lek, especially in regards to coming back the same day? My tourist visa expires on 26. Originally I was planning to fly out to Cambodia and spend a couple days there, but with that many corona virus restrictions incoming, I'd rather stay put in Thailand and get a fresh stamp soon. As I am currently on koh Chang anyways, a border bounce at hat lek would be practical, also have my own car to get there. Thanks in advance!

you do not like to stay in other country due to a virus, you do not mention your nationality, so we do not know if you can do a border run, but even with a border run the 30 days is not going to help you to stay put in Thailand. It is nothing more than a short term solution.

well your history of visas may kill any option....better go to the next a consulate and ask for a letter that you can stay because of the virus ....and then go to an immigration office , where you stay ?

you are right, my nationality would be handy. I am Austrian. I was meant to go home for a wedding in 3 weeks, which is now cancelled due to coronavirus. Thus, my plans have changed and I'll rather stay here for the time being. I have been in Thailand for years, currently just in between jobs and non-o visas as I was considering moving back to Europe for good.

Why not apply first for the 30 day Extension of Stay?
