Hi guys,

yes I know, atm there are no international flights to Thailand. However, I'm hoping to be able to fly in soon (June, July,August, whatever), since I have a job lined up - so moving there to work. I think they will still ask for the 72 hour health certificate (fit to fly), stating that one is free of Corona. Does anybody know where I can get one of these? I'm in Germany atm. I already asked my doctor friend that is working at one of the clinics, she said she doesn't know. I heard from others before, that it was hard to get. But I mean, there has to be a place that provides you with it, so where to go once I can book my ticket?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation revolves around the challenges of flying to Thailand amid ongoing travel restrictions due to COVID-19. The original poster is seeking information about obtaining a 'fit to fly' health certificate while in Germany for their upcoming employment in Thailand. Responses suggest that the entry requirements may include a health certificate and possibly insurance, but caution that these rules are subject to change. Recommendations are made to consult the Thai Embassy for the latest updates and to monitor the evolving travel regulations.

This has just been published on the BBC. "Scientists advising ministers on Covid-19 feared people would deliberately try to catch the disease or buy fake test results if "immunity passports" were introduced, newly released papers show. "I dont think anyone is going to trust tests or immunity passports"

I would say you really should wait to work this out. The within 3 days thing makes it it short lived. But my experience with Thailand is that their policies will change before you get on board (they must because currently their policies don't allow you to board). Before you arrive there will be several policy shifts. It could be the case before you arrive they implement a policy that if you haven't been in a country with recent widespread infection recently you are welcome to come without paperwork

Plandemic of nonsense..

As there isnt a reliable antibody test yet, you would only be able to take test within a few days of departing. So for now no point in worrying and hope that a reliable antibody test is available soon

@James *****
and hope that even with an antibody test they will let you travel because it is know that you can catch it twice or more.

Of course even with a work permit. I would be surprised if any jobs are still happening. Schools are looking at July at the earliest in Buriram.

I would also recommend that you wait until the mandatory quarantine of 14 days is lifted for all foreigners. I live in Thailand but have not been able to go back since mid March. Just a suggestion. The certificate you must get from the hospital
Joel ********
I’m 100% sure there is a quarantine. I’ve been working on this with my attorney. My retirement visa is running outMay 22

@Joel *******
. There is no 14 day quarantine for foreigners. It's for Thai citizens only

Hey Karen, lots of people are in the same boat, including myself. I was planning on coming back in May, but they extended the ban again until June 1st. At this point I wouldn't make any plans until an announcement is made, which probably won't be until May 30th. Just play it by year.

Your got going to be getting in there soon , wouldn’t even bother booking tickets, I’m trying to get to my house in khon Kaen, , absolutely no chance , no idea about being tested , more do the Thais , they have a major problem coming up ,

The obvious source should be the Thai Embassy in your own country..

Karin Adam, Although I do not know the answer to your question... First, check with your own embassy there in Germany. Next you might try the German embassy in Thailand. It is your embassy's job to keep up with the current situation globally as it pertains to assisting their own citizens traveling abroad--which includes travel advisories, recommendations, consular help, and emergency assistance. It would benefit you to register with their ‘citizen traveling abroad’ program, as they will regularly email and update you about changes as they take place in the region(s) where you ibtend to be.

Currently (but may change accordingly), the international travel ban to Thailand for foreigners is scheduled until May 31, 2020--but is subject to change. If you want to know the latest policies taking effect, you can watch PR Thai Government’s Deputy General who give a daily English summary of the cabinet meeting, ministers and officials reports, in which the proposals, votes, and regulations are announced each day, in addition to the Covid-19 status report.

I think you need to contact the thai embassy in germany as i think you need their approval too. They can tell you where they will approve a health certificate from.

14 days government and 14 days at destinations

You need a fit to fly letter no longer than 72 hours from your flights arrival. Also need health insurance for Thailand showing you have coverage in Thailand. Hopefully that all for now. Trying to travel there myself from Los Angeles and this is the latest info I have. 😷 also could change daily...
John *******
@Steven *****
that all changed middle of April when the Thais stopped all foreign entry to the country...

@Steven *****
you go as tourist ? You sure they will let you in? I heard the airport close.
Bobby ********
@Steven *****
. You're quoting outdated requirements. All inbound passengers flights for non-Thais are banned. What you are quoting was an interim arrangement prior to the total ban, so no longer relevant.
Garrett ***********
Old news, not currently a requirement.

@Steven *****
he already has a visa so that's good. But I do believe that have shut off visa free entries as well. So if that keeps true then everybody will need to get a visa issued before they come

Go to local dr

Complain of symptoms

They will issue a test

At the meeting ask for fit to fly

Paperwork

Download from google

In USA

Many clinics do test if you have symptoms or think you have symptoms

Hope this helps
Dave ***********
I don’t think they will ask for fit to fly certs/corona free certs. I think they will just ensure 14 day quarantine upon arrival. Good luck.
Michael ********
@Dave **********
there only allowing 200 Thais a day in at moment because lack of quarantine facilities.
Michael ********
@Dave **********
Malaysia is asking for both certificate and then quarantine at the moment
Bobby ********
I'd be waiting until borders are open again to see what the entry requirements are. You might need a full lab test or nothing at all, so early speculation is of no value
Michael ********
You need to wait till May 31st at least and see what restrictions will be imposed
Michael ********
And you have to get a fit to fly certificate in the country you will be flying from if they make it a requirement

I would check private hospitals. I have found private hospitals in the UK that can do the test.

I also need to get in. I was refused entry on my return from offshore and missed the birth of my Son.

At least he does not give up easy telling her what she does not need to know.
