TLDR : Answer Summary
The requirement for a bank statement to apply for a Thai visa at the consulate in Hong Kong is confirmed to be HKD 150,000. There seems to be some confusion around changes to this amount ranging from €15,000 to €19,000, but clarifications indicate that the amount has consistently been HKD 150,000 since the introduction of the DTV in July 2024. This amount applies to applicants demonstrating financial capability through a 3-month bank statement or proof of income, and can also include accounts from abroad.

Amounts have always been Embassy specific (unless you happen to have a Thai account with the said amount in Thai baht).

No, at the Thai Consulate in Hong Kong, they have always required HKD $150,000.- since the DTV started in July 2024

Financial document:

Applicant must demonstrate his/her financial capability by presenting the 3-month bank statement or proof of income showing an account balance / income of at least 150,000 HKD or its equivalence in other legal currencies (national official currencies). The Consulate also accepts bank accounts from abroad, not just from Hong Kong, Macao or Thailand.

Normal DTV (non-dependents) Applicant must have his/her own bank accounts.
