Hiya everyone , well I did get my 30 day extension on Tuesday. Got to the Jomtien visa place 7.45 and there was already 5or6 hundred before me. So I thought that I might as well pay for my mistake and used one of the young visa lawyers. Cost me 2 thousand Bht extra but was worth it. Was only there 30 mins and the girlfriend drove me back this morning , in & out in 10 mins drove all the way along Jomtien seafront to a big seafood restaurant and had lunch. So all's well that ends well .😁

Well spent. I had to spend 5 hours in Samut Prakan, and would gladly pay an agent

Thanks for sharing. I find that Pattaya's immigration office is crooked and I always use the agent if I have to deal with them. You are better off to spend 2k and have a nice lunch than sitting around waiting for your queue.

I don’t know what’s wrong with people. You share your experience and one by one they need to cut you down. I’ve never seen such misery as I see here amongst expats. They need to make others miserable too.

The deal is a simple one. Only people at the extremities contribute. Many, many expats settle down to a balanced view. Thailand is not a place of milk and honey only to be viewed through very rosy specs, or not even requiring them for some expats. Equally, is this the worst place on the planet, or anything like the worst place on the planet-determinedly not. As to people, there are nice Thais and there are unpleasant Thais. A bit like every other country on the planet. Worth remembering too that if some issues tend to turn the balance negative, sometimes very negative, they don't often apply to expats eg domestic violence.

most of the comments on this post were completely unnecessary and provided no useful information. Period. My comment had nothing to do with things being rosy or not.

I’ve been with the group for years. One can get valuable information. Some moderating would make it a far easier resource to use though.

You don't need to leave it to the last few days as extensions are added to your current exit date (unless you are changing the reason for the extension)
