What should I do about a 1-day overstay and obtaining a TM30 for my visa extension in Thailand?

Hello, I have been to immigration division 1 for my 4th covid extension today. The officer rejected my application as I cannot submit a proper TM30. As I just moved to a new condo and the agent is not able to get it done for me on time (as the condo owner is not in town). I have been overstayed for 1 day already. My frd suggest me to get a hotel room and request for a TM30 to complete the extension.

I have 2 questions:

1. What is the consequence of my overstay of 1-2 days due to the application failure?

2. If I follow the suggestion from my frd, to get a TM30 from the hotel, is it work?

Thanks alot for your kind advice :)

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice after being denied a COVID visa extension due to an improper TM30 submission, resulting in a 1-day overstay. They ask about the consequences of the overstay and whether obtaining a TM30 from a hotel would resolve their issue. Commenters advise on the fine for overstaying and confirm that a TM30 from a hotel is sufficient for the extension process.

A day overstay should be just a fine. They just want the paperwork in order so try a hotel tm30 and pay the fine.

Overstay is 500b per day plus the extension fee 1900b.. you will be given the extension as of the day it expired originally.

As long as you have TM30 with an address inside Bangkok, it would be fine.

You have to pay an overstay fine beforehand to the official fee for the extension application.
