What are the consequences of not doing the 90-day reporting in Thailand?

I simply want to say that I entered Thailand on the DTV in September last year, and exited after 127 days.

That meant, of course, I was supposed to do the 90 day reporting.

But I didn't.

I know that is wrong. I know that I flouted the law of the land. I know that I should've done it. I know that it might cause a potential issue next time I interact with immigration (which won't be for years, as I won't be back for a while).

This post is just to highlight that, while you really should do it, assuming you don't interact with immigration while there, you *should* be fine.

I exited at BKK through the automated gates.

That's it! Flame away! πŸ˜†
Summary so far
The post discusses the author's experience of not completing the 90-day reporting requirement after entering Thailand on a DTV visa, acknowledging the potential consequences of this oversight. While they indicate that they exited through an automated gate without immediate issues, commenters express concerns about the risks of disregarding immigration laws in Thailand, with warnings about possible fines and negative implications for future re-entry.

You don't have the experience to state that one should be fine.

Once you start disrespecting the immigration rules, it's a slippery slope down. Its up to you but dont come crying when they pull you over one day and revoke your visa. Thailand is not the country to become a rule breaker

Issue will only arise if you need to do something at an immigration office in the future

DTV_BegPecker usually no problem if you exited and re-entered in the meanwhile.

I never leave through the automatic gates as you never know when you might need an Immigration stamp for proof of being in or leaving Thailand.

ArticulateSquirrel3605 It is in their system when you left. It is not too far off when you get no immigration arrival stamp. I just been to Doha no stamp on arrival via an IO or departure via the auto gates..

yes I know it’s it in the Immigration system in Thailand. I had to prove I wasn’t resident in my home country for tax reasons!
