I live in bkk on a retirement visa and next Feb 2025, I am going to apply for another extension.
I returned to bkk in early Dec but I forgot to update my tm 30 till a few days later due to a flu n cold I caught. Will there any consequences I will have and especially for my application for the extension?
Thank you for your time.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about a late TM30 submission due to illness while living in Bangkok on a retirement visa. Responses highlight that late submissions typically do not cause problems, provided that the TM30 is up to date before visiting the immigration office for a visa extension. It is emphasized that only the latest TM30 matters, and the process can be simplified through online reporting, which does not require as much information as the physical form.

bangkok office advised TM30 must be made every time return from overseas, the written form require filling in return date, but surprisingly the online report is much much simple, not even require to fill in return date, and it is immediately approved! so it seems so incredible that i still resort to report in.person coz i have trouble figuring out why there is great discrepancy between the two methods, is it the previlege to be computer proficient?
i live in my own condo too, i reported twice in person as i returned from overseas in oct and nov, i will report in person again next jan 2025 upon my return, i have developed my feeling for bangkok immigration building restaurants, lol
Just returned to UK after a year in Koh Samui missed tm30 application 2 times no problem. As already said depends on your immigration office but don't think it's a problem.
It is only the newest/latest tm30 that matters. Any tm30 "cancels" any previous tm30. Just make sure the latest one is done at the required address/province before you go to immigration.
They have no idea when you returned to Bangkok so as long as your tm30 is now up to date and stays that way until you extend you will have no issue. Do you do it on line?
Mine was late 3 months and no problems, all depends on your immigration office but not a worry. Just have the funds in place for the extension & all good.
thanks for your reply. I live in my condo every time I return to bkk. but I was really late for a few days in submitting tm 30 this time. however, I did receive the receipt. shall I update my tm 30 agn b4 applying for the extension in Feb 25. thank you for your time.
