hi, a question about tm 30 I would like to ask.

I live in bkk on a retirement visa and next Feb 2025, I am going to apply for another extension.

I returned to bkk in early Dec but I forgot to update my tm 30 till a few days later due to a flu n cold I caught. Will there any consequences I will have and especially for my application for the extension?

Thank you for your time.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about the potential consequences of a delayed TM30 submission after returning to Bangkok on a retirement visa. Responses from the community indicated that updating the TM30 before visiting the immigration office is crucial, and that only the most recent TM30 submission matters. There is a general consensus that minor delays may not lead to penalties, provided the TM30 is current at the time of the extension application. Users shared personal experiences of successfully managing delayed submissions without issues.

Just returned to UK after a year in Koh Samui missed tm30 application 2 times no problem. As already said depends on your immigration office but don't think it's a problem.

It is only the newest/latest tm30 that matters. Any tm30 "cancels" any previous tm30. Just make sure the latest one is done at the required address/province before you go to immigration.

Edit* or do a 90 day report online.

They have no idea when you returned to Bangkok so as long as your tm30 is now up to date and stays that way until you extend you will have no issue. Do you do it on line?

@Paul *****
then your tm30 must be up to date or it would have been rejected.

If you have the tm30 your fine

Mine was late 3 months and no problems, all depends on your immigration office but not a worry. Just have the funds in place for the extension & all good.

My TM30 was late for a week and they didn't say anything.

It wouldn't be a problem. Just update your TM30 before you go to the immigration office.

It's supposed to be submitted within 24 hours after you arrive at that address, not 24 hrs from entering Thailand.

Not submitting TM.30 violates regulations, but submitting multiple times does not.

There are people who re-submit TM.30 to get a receipt just before going to the immigration office.

@Paul *****
, Unless you travel somewhere after that and you have a receipt, you don't need to re-submit.
