I already have a DTV - I need to extend it next week (I will have been here for 6 months).
Can anyone please recommend a visa agent in Bangkok who can speed up the process at immigration (in and out of immigration as quick as possible)? I really donβt want to spend all day at immigration if I can help it.
Thanks ππ»

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user seeks recommendations for a visa agent in Bangkok to expedite the extension process for their DTV visa. Community responses share insights on using fast track services, the challenges of gathering necessary documentation like the TM30 receipt and proof of funds, as well as considerations for potentially leaving the country for a visa run instead of going through the extension process. Concerns about timing and required paperwork are highlighted, emphasizing the need for careful preparation.
Probably easier and maybe cheaper to pop out of Thailand for a night or two, and back into Thailand for another 180 day stamp with minimal questions asked, if any. Look at it as a short holiday to be enjoyable, rather than visa cost

The larger pain is in the gathering of the documents, which an agent can't do for you.
Yup. Agent can advise on what documents are required. Can QA check them. Can also submit for you too if you need all of that. They do similar for O and other visas. Costs around 7k THB

Most immigration offices will give you an "under consideration" stamp for DTV extensions. That means you must have at least 15 days left on your stamp. If you've waited until the last minute to apply for your extension then they might reject your application immediately based on that.

From everything I've read, the pain of the extension process is going to make you wish you had just done a quick turnaround flight to Vietnam.

You'll need a stack of paperwork higher than Sunday pancake breakfast
How is fast track going to help him with an extention?

I think you're on your own with the extension, not something agents can really help with. As well as having your work history etc updated and income showing during the last 6 months you'll need a TM30 receipt from your landlord, the 90 day report receipt, usual copies of passport pages and a recent photo

Will be interesting to see if any agents can facilitate speedy extensions in Bangkok for DTV.
If they have a good relationship at a local office they might. Would be on same basis as for O when it is just checking documents provided by applicant and doing the submission / waiting about. Talking to one in general about this yesterday. Wondering what price could be charged if the O costs 7k for this service.
They would need a very good relationship for sure. Not seen such a service offered so there must be a reason why. Maybe the extension for DTV must be by the applicant at the moment. Maybe in future agents can extend instead of the applicant.
Well it would have to be local relationships. All the documentations supplied ready. They do this for O in some locations. As I said it is about 7k for this service. Would DTV holders pay this?
some would if it guarantees an extension. You can do same day border run for similar/cheaper price but there is a definite market for it as with the other visa extensions.
Iβm not sure with BKK immigration but Iβve used other agents elsewhere before who have relationships and get you in and out (not DTV). Possible BKK doesnβt work like that but this is Thailand so likely there are some agents who have connections.
