Hi everyone - I’m about to face a problem with my non-immigrant ‘O’ visa extension, which is based on retirement and due on the 5th November. I was wondering if anyone knew of, or could recommend a reliable Agent in Ubon Ratchathani who might be able to help me. I don’t want to risk using someone who is going to rip me off or be dodgy and cause me me even more problems. Many thanks if you can help.

Christ there's more repeats on visa questions than repeat programs on UK TV and that's lots, lots & more lots. 😆

Stop the constant headache with O visa extensions : just get a DTV visa !! So much easier !!! And no need for an “agent” !!!

what is a DTV visa

Just search “DTV visa Thailand” in the search bar on this group ☝🏼. Tons of successful examples.

surely not everyone is eligible for DTV?

Just show proof of booking of 1 week of Muay Thai training or proof of one dental appointment: you get 5 years of multiple entry visa for 10,000 THB. You just have to be older than 20 years old and show funds of 500,000 THB or equivalent in currency in your bank account (doesn’t have to be in a Thai bank). Everyone can do that . Just search “DTV visa Thailand” in the search bar on this group ☝🏼.

For those who don’t , thai authorities even made it possible for these people to have a guarantor who can back them up: speaks volumes on how badly they want you to get this new 5 years visa !!

ok well that I could provide 😊 it’s interesting- I appreciate the info. I will search the group further about the DN visa. I have read another places that it’s actually sort of strict so obviously I need to do some more reading.

Yes. Some embassies are much stricter than others. I’ve heard the one in Laos is pretty easy and helpful .

hm. Almost ended up there a few months ago- I’ll keep it in mind. Thanks for your kindness!

Don’t forget to stay humble . We might all end up homeless one day …

you are preaching to the choir. I’m parked in Delhi at the moment because my whole life here costs appx 400 a month- I am in transition 🤦🏼‍♀️

If you have the finances better to do it yourself. An agent can help if you don't but there's every likelihood you'll be stuck using them in the future

Which can sometimes make financial sense.

65k a month makes financial sense

@Graham *****
Good luck with that for the first year

nobody mentioned the first year but the 800k only needs to be "tied up" for about 5 months during the first year so not a great financial drain

Don't have the 800k anymore?

Yes, you guessed it right!

Yeah unfortunately only option at that point is to use an agent. Thai visa center does it (they're in bkk but can do the extension for you anyway) not sure what they charge right now. I'd send them a message.

Much better to investigate it yourself, and do everything yourself, then you have control over your life, and are not dependant on others that may rip you off.
