TLDR : Answer Summary
A 71-year-old traveler from the UK is seeking recommendations for travel and health insurance companies for a 90-day trip to Thailand, while managing two medical conditions: high blood pressure and cholesterol. The conversation includes various responses sharing personal experiences with different insurance providers such as LV, Virgin Travel Insurance, and Nationwide, highlighting challenges faced by seniors with pre-existing conditions when obtaining insurance. For 5 week stay, I used money supermarket. Clicked "preexisting conditions" filled in the on line info and it gave me several to chose from. I'm not sure for longer stays but a Thai policy might be better.

I live here permanently and can't get ANY insurance at any price. I'm 76 but quite fit, apart from having numerous pre existing conditions.

Once you pass 70 the chances of getting insurance is about the same as you winning the lottery. The good news is that treatment in local Thai Hospitals is Very reasonable, it's only big private hospitals that are unbelievably expensive.

If you have enough money just self insure and pay as you go. Anything really serious, head home where it's free. It works for me.

All you need is a credit/debit card with a bit of credit left on it and you're good to go.,,😀🙏🙏😀

I’ve used lv. Also includes scooter cover as long as you’ve got a licence. Use premier option to get the 90 days
