What are the best options for exiting Thailand on a DTV work-cation visa before the 180-day mark?

Seems to be some debate on leaving the country. I have a DTV work-cation visa and am coming up on my first 180 days.

Best acceptable plan:
Same day border crossing 
Fly to vietnam, come back same day
Fly to Vietnam and stay 1 night.

Which would be smartest option? Ive heard all are acceptable

Lots of helpful advice. Im not really interested in traveling anymore. Im just looking for the best and least likely to have problems. I have a dog so i need a friend to watch him in case i get stopped for something petty that i could have avoided. I know it can happen to anyone but there are ways you can decrease the odds. Like looking for male officers.

Take a trip before every 90 days so you don’t even need to deal with 90 day reporting. So you just gotta do these four times a year.

There is no debate on that, how you are leaving the country is up to you and there is no smartest option. Just get out and come back in, if you just cross the border or fly to another country makes  no difference

I flee to vientiane in the morning and returned in the evening. The staff in vte is confused as I look very white skinned but get 15 days visa free in laos. As a handicapped, short flights are more convenient than long bus rides often mentioned online
