You can do it yourself easily. Take bus 81 from the southern bus terminal to Kancahaburi, and then from Kancahaburi to the border. should be about 175 THB each way. At the border, it's 960 THB for the day pass and van across and back.

What is your nationally? Not all nationality can use that border

I don't know how much the minivan is to cross the border, since you won't get a day pass to do the bounce.
