What are my options for extending my visa in Thailand as a UK national on amnesty?

Hi my girlfriend has just started a new job as a teacher in Bangkok and I am exploring my options about extending my visa beyond September the 26th. I am a UK national arrived across the Laos border in March on Visa on Arrival and now on the amnesty. I haven't used any of my extensions. Unsure if that's still possible? Any help is appreciated eg language schools, helpful immigration office, education visa's visa services, visa types etc Thank you in advance 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on extending their visa beyond September 26 since they are currently on an amnesty after entering Thailand on a Visa on Arrival. They are unsure of their extension options and ask for recommendations on schools, visa services, and any potential ways to stay in Thailand longer.

I’m a little confused, you’ve been on amnesty for several months and you have no idea about what your options are?

Can't you become an english teacher?

Met somebody who was doing some interviews with schools and pretty soon he was offered a job. Not sure if the school can get him the new visa though.

Tom. If you want a straight up answer you should be asking the gurus in this group. If there's a way you can do it legally, they will know.

. The admins are sometimes a bit abrupt with their answers, but their knowledge is pretty comprehensive. DO NOT whatever you do suggest an agent. They do not recognise agents. You have been warned! 🤣🤣

what on earth were you doing in Kheha? Only thing out that way is the Ancient City and Richard Barrow? 😂 Think fewest I've had in a carriage was about 6 or 7 one Saturday morning going to Bang Na from On Nut.

. I was trying to impress a lady by taking her to the restaurant there at Bang Pu. But somewhere along the way we got separated when she went to powder her nose. I hope I can locate her again because she's still looking after my wallet.

. No the Buffalo died, which was a real bummer, especially as I'd just helped out with $1000 for the vet's bill. But good fortune smiled on her family, because would you believe her father found a brand new iPad the same day?

. Yeah, I know what you're thinking, that the whole buffalo thing was a con, but I can tell you now it wasn't. Although I never got to meet my buffalo, they did send me a picture of it, so there!!!

ED visa not that expensive.

Best to say where you are.

There are schools in cnx that are doing it for like ฿17,000 or so. Plus the actual study fees.

Not bad really.

There are ads all over facebook everyday offering this service as well. Keep an eye out.

Pay a lot of money for ED visa or exit the country. Unfortunately you have very few choices due to the tough travel restrictions Thailand has imposed.

ED visa isn't that expensive.

Not sure about Bangkok but you can probably find a school that'll do a year for 30-40k which isn't expensive at all!

@Bernardas ***********
it is only valid one year from your entry stamp. So most likely that 40K only buys you 5-6 months. That's expensive.

that makes no sense. I enroll in a year long course and I get a visa for 5 months? 😅

every 3 months you must renew. What will immi say in Feb 2021? Will they renew your ED when they see that one year has passed since you entered? The only ones exempt from that rule are University students. Language/Muay Thai is limited to one year from entry.

You asked the same question earlier today. Nothing much has changed. You were on a tourist visa exempt, not a VOA. You have been on amnesty for about five months. Your only real chance to stay longer is to get a letter from your embassy and get another thirty days
