TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK citizen's educational visa is expiring in November, and they are seeking options for extending their stay in Thailand for another year without needing a work permit. Commenters suggest considering further studies, obtaining a Tourist Visa (either single or multiple entry), or exploring various Non-Immigrant Visas for study, volunteer work, or other purposes. They also highlight the potential challenges and costs associated with switching visas.

So... Is it a problem to find another school for next year? Only Tourist visa will be more easy than ED. All other options are costly (money and/or time)
correct. But running business here is not so easy =)

It is the way you look at it. ED visa is the most costly, you pay for going to school and have to live on your savings, Tourist Visa are less costly and as you can not work, still have to live on your savings, Non Immigrant B visa, you work, have an income so you make money.

Can I stay for another year, yes but you need a Visa to do this. Options are several Single Entry Tourist Visa, the Multiple Entry Tourist Visa followed by a Single Entry Tourist Visa, a Non Immigrant Visa for study, volunteer, work, marriage, over 50 years of age just to name some examples.

Yep, if you work you seek employment or set up your own company to get the Work Permit and Non Immigran B visa, or you do not work and stay as tourist.
