Hello,

I came here two months ago with TR60 Visa and have a 30 days extension.

Which options do I have to extend again?

Covid extension? In this case I have at least the 7 days under consideration? So I have to leave maybe on day 7?

Are there any other options I can do or try?

Thanks in advance.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user with a TR60 Visa seeks advice on extending their stay in Thailand, currently having a 30-day extension. They inquire about the possibility of a COVID-19 extension and whether they must leave the country if their application is under consideration. Comments suggest that it's possible to apply for a 60-day extension due to being unable to travel because of COVID-19, with instructions to check back at the immigration office for an update within a specified timeframe. Additional resources for further visa options and extensions are provided.

You can apply for a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19. See my featured post at

At *MOST* immigration offices, if they agree to issue a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19, you will be issued an "under consideration" stamp. You will be told to return back to the SAME immigration office on a certain date to complete the stamp. That date may be 5 to 30 days, depending on the immigration office workload. I never heard of anyone who was issued an "under consideration" stamp for a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19 to be issued an "extension of stay denied" stamp.

Yes, depends on if you have a valid reason to stay in Thailand. You can review these websites:

for potential visas and extension of stays. If you see a visa or extension of stay that you believe you may qualify for, feel free to ask any questions.

may I ask for your opinion:

Do you think I should try to get the covid extension or is it too risky to get rejected and leave next seven days?

I'm really afraid 😳

thank you! So I understand right:

I can go to immigration office before 25.1. to apply for extension and I'll see what happens?

What kind of reasons are there to mention on the form?

Thank you so much,

Last question

What is OR?

I tried to search but did not find the meaning

My extension now is until 9. February.

I can go before 25.1.?

@San ****
OR? It's a linkage between alternatives. For example:

"You can drink strawberry milk OR chocolate milk"

"You can go to Hua Hin OR you can go to Chiang Mai"

"You can go by foot OR you can go by plane"

Correct, OR the date your current "admitted to" stamp expires.

>What kind of reasons are there to mention on the form?

On the extension of stay request form, you will write "COVID-19".

For proof, IF it's asked by the immigration office, you will need *ONE* of the following:

A letter from your embassy saying you cannot return, OR;

A print out from your embassy website saying they don’t issue the letters, OR;

A print out of a letter from the embassy saying they don't issue those letters.
