Hello!

I plan to book a martial arts retreat in Pai, Mae Hon Song for September. As vaccinated, I read that if I come directly to Phuket, no need quarantine but just stay there for 7 days, then be able to travel freely in Thailand. Is the stay there is obligatory or can I make it shorter?

Does it mean that I can book any kind of hotel? I mean no need to book an ASQ hotel then? ๐Ÿค”

Thank you for your help!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is inquiring about the requirement to stay in Phuket for 7 days before traveling freely in Thailand, mentioning they are vaccinated and planning a martial arts retreat in Pai. Responses indicate a requirement to stay 7 nights at a SHA+ approved hotel in Phuket, with some uncertainty surrounding these rules. Updates suggest this stay has recently changed to 14 days if planning to travel to other provinces.

Under the current plan you must stay 7 days at a SHA approved place on Phuket.

Nothing official has been released yet, no body knows any details or whether it will happen, Or in what form it will happen

As it stands it's 7 nights then you can leave if you test negative. It's SHA+ hotels only so not every hotel.

If this goes ahead, and I'm still not convinced it will, then there will be a lot of info/changes between now and 1 July. I wouldn't book anything yet.
