I’m looking to visit the Kingdom the middle of October and am hearing that PERHAPS by that time all vaccinated people will not be required to vaccinate.

BUT since I’ll be there more than 30 days I’ll need to get a visa ahead of time. SO I need to provide ASQ info at the time of visa request.

Are there ASQ hotels that will allow cancellations with little or no penalty?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is looking to visit Thailand in mid-October and wants to know if ASQ hotels allow for cancellations with little or no penalty, especially in light of evolving travel restrictions regarding vaccinated individuals. Comments suggest that policy changes are expected, with vaccinated travelers possibly facing different quarantine regulations, indicating that planning far in advance may be uncertain.

October is too far away to make plans with the pace of change happening right now. Check back in August or beginning of September. Supposedly Bangkok will be open to vaccinated people in October, along with multiple other high demand places like Chiang Mai and Koh Samui, but we will see what happens once Phuket actually gets tested next month.

Lol, I know you meant quarantine but I still laughed.

Current proposal for the phuket sandbox starting July 1st is that vaccinated people don't need to quarantine but must stay in Phuket for 14 days. The Thai embassy in the US currently doesn't have any guidance on it because it's not official yet contrary to some people's beliefs.

At this time the only way to get into Thailand is by quarantining. If you wait a couple weeks that very well could change.

plus Thailand government will not consider usa as low risk country.

Currently the US is eligible for the phuket sandbox. The only countries that are high risk are those with the Indian variant which are already blocked from flying into Thailand.

Over 150 million Americans have already been vaccinated.

Looks like I will enjoy phuket after getting vaccinated.
