Good morning guys, wondering if anyone could advice regarding on TM30 upon returning to Thailand.
My landlord has registered the TM30 for 366 days upon my arrival last year. Iβll be away for business trip for about 10 days. Does my landlord need to resubmit the TM30 upon returning to Thailand?
Thanks in advance and appreciate π

TLDR : Answer Summary
The TM30 form, which is a notification of residence registration in Thailand, may require updating each time you return to the country after an overseas trip. Opinions vary depending on the local immigration office, as some strictly enforce this update while others are more lenient. It is generally advisable to have your landlord update the TM30 upon your return, although some expatriates reported differing experiences with enforcement across various offices.
Yes, a new TM30 is needed after every time you come back into Thailand.
Some immigration offices enforce this rule with an iron fist while others don't care at all. But you just need to send a photo of your latest stamp to your agent, so there's no point in skipping it and risking it.
Some owners might get pissed off with frequent flyers lol

Depends on the Immigration Office. Some require you to go and re-register after overseas trip and some do not. You need to check locally. Some offices change their mins about requiring it frequently lol
Anonymous participant It is annoying if they change their minds. In Jomtien twice they have said it is required then soon after not required. Twice I went down to wait in a queue and they said no need. Certain offices probably have too many to process so it is too much work. The crazy time was when some offices wanted it even after a 1 night domestic trip
the TM30 can be handled with a simple online reporting system and the 90 day report can just be removed completely. But thai government branches absolutely LOVE their unnecessary paperwork and long queues. So it won't go away anytime soon.
oh dear so I shall inform my landlord to update the TM30 upon returning back to Thailand. What I hear from my landlord that I does not need it since is a 1 year lease with indication that the day will be 366 days during the submission π

Anonymous participant As I said depends on the location. My last 3 overseas trips no need to rerecord TM30 in Jomtien. I have seen others posts that certain immigration offices you need to. When I have had to rerecord the TM30 I did it myself. The immigration office had forms for this.
well noted with thanks for the information π I shall contact my landlord to avoid any issues later.

That is correct! I did not know this before. I took a trip to Vietnam, but I stayed in the same condo, so I thought a new TM 30 wasnt necesarry When I wanted to get a 30 day extention I had to pay 1500 bath extra to the immigration for the TM 30 report.
