TLDR : Answer Summary
After arriving in Thailand on a Non-B visa, it's crucial to apply for your work permit promptly. While there's uncertainty about a specific time limit, some advice suggests needing to apply within about 15 days. It's essential to clarify this with your local Ministry of Labour since immigration rules may vary by location. Importantly, you cannot engage in any work activities without having your work permit issued, as there is no allowance for working without it.

The big factor is you can not legally do any kind of work, not even training, without your work permit having been issued, and in your hand. There is no trial period in working without your work permit, and any business that tells you different is lying

Not sure of a time limit to get the work permit. Best to go to your local department (ministry) of labour and ask their rules. If itโ€™s anything like immigration rules probably differ from office to office.
