Is there a limit on how many 60-day tourist visas I can obtain for Thailand by flying in and out repeatedly?

Quick question: I always thought you could get unlimited 60 day tourist visas as long as you fly out of Thailand and come through airport (Australian passport). Is there a limit?

TLDR : Answer Summary
While Thai immigration law does not officially impose a limit on the number of 60-day tourist visas you can obtain, individual Thai consulates may set their own restrictions. Some consulates will issue only a certain number of tourist visas before placing a warning stamp in your passport, which might prevent you from getting additional visas. Border immigration officers may also scrutinize frequent entries and require proof of not working in Thailand, particularly if your social media suggests otherwise.

I did that for 3 yrs, never had a problem. Did not get 2 in a row at the same embassy, so travel see a lot of countries and have fun.

I would go to the Thai Consolute in the city/country that I went to, ie. Yangon Myanmar, Panang Malaysia, Singapore, etc. 2 years ago I got visa based on marriage to a Thai National. Unless I am wrong you can still do that. Good luck

Michael Grills - you been using same airport immigration or you been changing city airport immigrations?

Warning stamps look like these

There are no guarantees in the visa game. Infact a visa don't even guarantee entry at immigration. It's still down to the immigration officer if he lands you or not.

ok thanks, i havent got that stamp. im then sort of assuming you won't be refused without a warning

In theory there is no official limit BUT each thai consulate puts a limit of how many tourist visas you can get from them before they put the warning stamp in your passport. Some consulates won't even issue a tourist visa to you if you have a warning stamp from another consulate in your passport.

have you got an example of what a warning stamp looks like? never knew there was such a thing

I dunno what you mean by unlimited tourist visas because you BUY 60 day tourist visas at a thai consulate BEFORE you come here. :/

No problem living here, you just have to be able to show a believable source of income from outside Thailand to show you don't work illegally in Thailand.

Of course we are talking about people who are under 50.

As Sean says, some induvidual immigration officer might check your FB and see you live and work in BKK, looks 'cool' but not smart if you're worried about your visa.

According to Thai immigration law, no there is no limit. However, certain consulates outside Thailand impose their own limitations. Also individual immigration officers at the border may be suspicious of you working here. So long as you can show you don't work here you'll be fine.

I mean is there a limit to how many you can do in a row, ie. fly out and get a 60 day visa, come to Thailand, fly out again when expired, and repeat process.
