TLDR : Answer Summary
There is no official limit to how many times you can apply for a 60-day tourist visa in Thailand within a year; however, applications are subject to the discretion of the embassy or consulate. Some reports indicate that certain locations may restrict issuance to one visa per year. The practical experience of many users suggests that applying for more than two or three tourist visas without significant time away from Thailand may raise concerns with immigration authorities, potentially leading to entry refusal.

You can apply as many times as you want, but be fully aware that immigration does not have to let you enter the country simply because you have a tourist visa. They can refuse entry.

If you're tourist and only visiting here it's up to you how many times.

There's no specific limit, but if you plan to max them out you should not plan more than two (or three without extensions).

No specific limit as long as your travel history doesn't suggest you're using tourist visas / exemptions to live in Thailand - i.e. if you're consistently spending more than half your time in Thailand

You can apply for a six month multiple entries tourist visa. This gives you 60 days upon arrival each time within 6 months. Generally it’s not easy to maximise more than two tourist visas within a year and spend more than 180 days in Thailand.

22 times an 60 days visa in one year? How many days do you think are there in one year, 1320? 😁

the question is how many times you can apply for, not maximum number of days you can stay. It's a single entry visa regardless if you stay less than 60 days and I stated staying only 1 day πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

the 60 day is the only tourist visa, I think they were referring to the visa type rather.. They didn't specify they were going to stay 60 days each time. You are not required to stay 60 days and it can also be extended all would affect the outcome πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ it was a silly question and I gave a silly answer.

4 would do the year...

The theoretical maximum would be 22 times, I calculated based on a leap year on staying only 1 day each time.

There is no specified limit. In general though if you are staying more half the year is typically when they have problems.

That is up to the Embassy/Consulate you are using. There have been reports that some in SE Asia will only issue one Tourist Visa per year.
