TLDR : Answer Summary
There is officially no limit on the number of 60-day tourist visas a person can obtain in a year for Thailand. However, immigration authorities may scrutinize your visa history. Frequent use of tourist visas can lead to questions about your financial means (20,000 THB in cash), proof of onward travel, and accommodation when applying for new visas.
And these discussions are done many time on this page. If you choose to live inside Thailand on Tourist visa, there is a risk it goes wrong one day. Cash means money in your pocket, there are NO ATM's on airside at Thai airports, withdraw after being asked is not possible. Good luck.
Sjef van Ballekom going in with your pink ID Card, yellow house book, and Bangkok Bank app doesn't really work in your favor to show you are a genuine tourist
I have yellowbook as proof of residency I have more than enough money in my Dutch bank account what I can show on my phone. And exit ticket is a screenshot from some ticket on skyscanner and I don't work. I should be good right
Official there is no limit on how many Tourist visa a person can use. But as the Tourist visa is not to be used for living in Thailand, the Thai Consulate's had set their own limits and Immigration Checkpoints are looking at your history of using them. The longer your history the bigger change to get questions to show 20.000 Thb or equivalent currency in CASH, proof of onward travel and proof of accommodation.
