ORIGINAL POSTER
Hi all,

We will be travelling through BKK on our way to Europe. My wife's passport needs to be renewed in the 72 hours we are there. Unfortunately, it is Saturday to Monday. Is Chaeng Wattana open Saturday morning and secondly what is the quickest turn around time for a passport renewal? If it cannot be done in the timeframe over the weekend we will do in Aus before departure.

Thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses the need for a quick passport renewal during a 72-hour layover in Bangkok, specifically querying about the weekend hours of the Chaeng Wattana office. Responses indicate that the Chaeng Wattana location does not issue passports and provide guidance to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs instead. The conversation suggests this query may not be fully relevant to Thai visa regulations.

Unfortunately this isn't thai visa related enough to keep open, sorry.

Thai nationals get new passports out at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Office at the government complex on Chaengwattana Road.

should probably have stated that in the original post. Everyone else reads to understand a foreigner wants to renew their passport.
