I had asked a number of people whether seasoning was required on the 800K baht when applying for a non-o. I can confirm that at Phuket Immigration at least NO seasoning is required. Just the bank letter and 6 month transaction record. I had gotten my balance up above the threshold just last week. My visa exempt extension expires 23 February and I was told to come in 24 February to pick up the non-o. Can’t leave the country until then of course.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user confirms that seasoning of the 800K baht is not required when applying for a Non-O visa at Phuket Immigration. They only needed to provide a bank letter and a 6-month transaction record. Their visa exempt extension expires on February 23, and they have been instructed to return on February 24 to collect their Non-O visa.

That’s the day after my extension expires so if it’s still “in limbo” I would be overstaying right?

Ok, dropped by immigration again. The reason for 24 February is 23 is Sunday. Same officer told me all is good, come early to give them my passport and pick up at 3p.

nope, you'll be fine..

So you applied for a 90 day Non-O visa from the thai immigration office in Phuket.

Did you already pay the 2000baht? Did you get a date to come back stamped on your receipt which is when you show up to get the 90 day stamp and the Non-O inked in?

I paid the 2k but I don’t see a stamp on the receipt. The officer that took my photo pointed to 24 February on a calendar and said to come back then

Most offices that issue in country Non-O's require you to apply, wait between 14 and 21 days and then go back to get the Non-O visa and a new 90 day stamp inked in.
