Hello. After searching and searching, I have found multiple conflicting answers. I understand the prerequisites of having valid days left on stamps/ bank account in my name etc/ and that local offices do some things differently....

Please can I have a definitive answer to the following questions:

To obtain an initial Non O based on marriage INSIDE the country, does the 400,000 thb need to be seasoned?

To obtain the year long extension of stay from said Non O based on marriage obtained from INSIDE the country, does the 400,000 thb need to be seasoned?

Thankyou in advance for your help.

TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain an initial Non O visa based on marriage inside Thailand, seasoned funds are not required if you are converting from a Visa Exempt Entry or Tourist Visa. However, for an extension of stay from a Non O based on marriage, you may need to have 400,000 THB seasoned in your account for at least two months prior to application.

If you are inside Thailand and you like to stay longer you can apply for an Extension of Stay based one being married to a Thai National and 1 of the requirements could be 2 months prior application date the 400.000 Thb into your Thai bank

if you apply for a conversion of your Visa Exempt Entry or Tourist Visa or an 30 day Extension of Stay based on one of them into the Non Immigrant O Visa, you do not need seasoned money in the bank.

and from a 60 day extension based on visiting Thai family, is it the same?

Depends if that Extension is based on a visa exempt entry or tourist visa

Sorry, I do not run a database with requirements of over 70 Immigration offices, best option is to contact the office in your region and get the latest updated list
