TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, you can pay for a re-entry permit at Bangkok Airport. You can obtain the permit at either Suvarnabhumi or Don Mueang airports, and they are open 24/7. For the regular price of 1000 baht (single entry) or 3800 baht (multiple entry), you'll need to provide copies of your passport's data page, your current visa, your most recent entry stamp, and a passport-sized photo. Alternatively, for an extra 200 baht, you can just provide your passport. It's important to note that while immigration officials may refer to it as a 'reentry visa,' it is technically a re-entry permit.

In BKK use International Departures 2 and it is after security but down the escalator before Immigration where you stamp out

You can get a re-entry permit (not a visa ๐Ÿ™‚ ) at either Suvarnabhumi or Don Mueang before you fly out. They are open

To get re-entry permits for the "regular price" (1000baht single/3800baht multiple) You need copies of the data page of your passport, your current visa/extension, your most recent entry stamp and a passport sized photo

OR

You can pay 200baht more and just give them your passport (1200baht single/3800 baht multiple)

Tell the officer when you go to stamp out you want to buy a re-entry permit

I used the service last month, and it was all ok. Unfortunately immigration have a sign saying "reentry visa" when they really mean reentry permit. The TM8 info on the counter clarified this.
