UK passport, yearly extension retirement plus multiple re-entry permit.
I am running out of pages in my passport and will need to get a new passport in London when I am there in a couple of weeks.
The issue is that when I come back to BKK, with both the new and old passport, I will be flying out of Thailand again the next day for a week. So I will not have an opportunity to get the stamps transferred to my new passport on my first re-entry to Thailand with the new passport.
my question is.... Will my yearly extension retirement plus multiple re-entry permit in the old passport still be valid on the second entry? Thanks for your time and advice,

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is concerned about maintaining the validity of their yearly retirement extension and multiple re-entry permit since they will need to travel with both an old and new passport when re-entering Thailand. The discussion includes responses indicating that it is generally acceptable to enter Thailand with both passports and that you can later transfer immigration stamps from the old passport to the new one. However, one suggestion is to adjust travel plans to allow time for the stamp transfer.

Perhaps it's more straightforward to just modify your travel plans to arrive in Thailand a week later and then have sufficient time to transfer all of your Thai immigration stamps into your new passport
You should be able to leave the day after you arrive here with both passports and then when you get back you'll get stamped in again on the new passport.
After that you'd take the two passports to your immigration office and get the stamps transferred
I have never heard of a case where someone comes in and then leaves the very next day so I'm just saying that as far as I know there is nothing in the rules that would prohibit you from doing it
