UK passport, yearly extension retirement plus multiple re-entry permit.
I am running out of pages in my passport and will need to get a new passport in London when I am there in a couple of weeks.
The issue is that when I come back to BKK, with both the new and old passport, I will be flying out of Thailand again the next day for a week. So I will not have an opportunity to get the stamps transferred to my new passport on my first re-entry to Thailand with the new passport.
my question is.... Will my yearly extension retirement plus multiple re-entry permit in the old passport still be valid on the second entry? Thanks for your time and advice,
TLDR : Answer Summary
A UK passport holder is concerned about entering Thailand with a new passport while having a yearly extension for retirement and a multiple re-entry permit in the old passport. They query if these permits remain valid on their second entry back into Thailand after a brief trip. Responses indicate that carrying both passports should allow for re-entry without issues, emphasizing that stamps can be transferred later, although one commenter suggests modifying travel plans for a smoother process.
