What should I do if I'm unable to file my 90-day report on time due to personal circumstances in Thailand?

I managed to get through to the 90 day reporting on my android phone rather than pc, but it says that the report has to be done 7 days before. I thought you had 7 days after the due date? It was due on Feb 3rd but not the 6th as I thought; however my mother passed away this week (not that immigration would care) but I've been busy with siblings over this. I am not in Bangkok where I reside. Can anyone advise?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the 90-day reporting requirements after missing a deadline due to personal circumstances, specifically the death of a family member. Comments clarify that while reports can be filed online or in person, there are strict rules about submission locations and deadlines. A report can be made up to 7 days after the due date in person without penalty, but online filing must be completed by the due date.

As a rule,
@So***
you can't do a 90 day report at an office you don't have your extension from. (It can't hurt you to go to that immigration office and check though, but it's unlikely you can file one there)

You can apply up to 7 days after the due date in person without getting the failure to file on time fine.

After 7 days the fine is 2000 and it doesn't go up, so if you can't make in back up to bangkok to file within a week just go when you can and be prepared for the 2000baht fine.

have people had success filing the 90 day report out of province of residence? Samui instead of bkk or pattaya? I know- too many questions.

@Sonda ******
nope, most people are turned away.

GO and ask the immigration office

OR post on one of those f/b groups that cover the southern islands in thailand

is it only the 2k fine or is this looked upon like an overstay. Different question Todd but my extension was done in Pattaya where I reside and I also reside in Bangkok where the owner just finally registered me. If I fly back to the mainland can I go to Bkk or does it have to be Pattaya?

@Sonda ******
, where you apply for the 90 day report is where you have a TM30 filed (usually where you got your extension)

No a failure to file a 90 day report on time is NOT like an overstay, it's just a "whoops you missed the deadline" fine and you get a stamp in your passport. Like this

You can file it up to 7 days after the due date *IN PERSON* and up to the date online.
