TLDR : Answer Summary
The general consensus from the comments suggests that traveling to Bangkok from Australia for just one or two weeks may not be advisable due to quarantine requirements and health risks associated with COVID-19 testing. Travelers are warned about the potential costs and challenges, including the need for insurance, flights, PCR tests, and the risk of having to quarantine upon return if testing positive.

It’s all up to you. Just take in consideration all the above comments. For me time is money and right now is not the time for the money.

Don't forget to plan your return to Australia and beware of the consequences of testing positive before your return flight, a 10-day quarantine is required followed by a further 7 days in the country, before you can fly with Qantas etc...

I would save my money and wait a while.. not worth going there for a week or 2 now.. 4 weeks or more yes go otherwise not worth the dramas with things changing weekly

1 week is a waste of time with quarantine requirements at this stage. Cost to come for a week, insurance, flights, hotels, PCR tests and pray you dont test positive. Then you need to apply to get back to Australia and face what ever that state wants with regards to isolating or quarantine.

with what one has to go through getting here, costs plus then applying to get home. I would not consider 2 weeks in Bangkok. Maybe sandbox if only 2 weeks.

yes hotel and pcr test day one, hotel and pcr test day 5 plus waiting until its official to see what other rules
