What are the current travel and quarantine requirements for visiting Thailand and returning to Singapore?

What a wonderful trip to Thailand! Thank you for a much needed holiday in Phuket.

Return trip back to Singapore has been seamless: day 6 PCR test was used for our pre-departure test and manual transit through Bangkok was easy (domestic flight Phuket- BKK and then international flight to Singapore) - landing, baggage reclaim and recheck-in took 40mins. BKK airport was eerily quiet and super efficient.

(Had to travel back through BKK to get a vaccinated flight to Singapore and avoid quarantine on arrival).

Definitely recommend traveling to Thailand for a holiday, even a short 7 day one.

Hello! We're looking at doing the same trip as you to Phuket. We will fly direct from SG to Phuket but via BKK because of the VTL. Did you use the sandbox programme or test and fly (Can't really figure out the difference!) And can't see whether Sandbox transit out is ok....? Also, is it standard that they give you a certificate to travel when you do your fday

test so I can use this for the flight to SQ? How long is turnaround time? Thanks!

We are doing that route tomorrow too. Wanted to use the day 6 PCR government test for pre departure but our hotel said that it was a nightmare at those swabbing stations so we booked our own test. How much time did you leave in between the flights? We arrive in BKK 1535 and flight to Singapore 1910.

That will be plenty of time, we landed at 13:10 for a 15:40 flight to SG. There isn’t much open for food in BKK, but you’ll be served dinner on SQ flight.

We also booked our own test, doctor came to our hotel and did tests for 10 of us. Saved a lot of time and hassle than travelling to Phuket Hospital where we were offered free tests.

great! Yes we left a bigger buffer in case of delays etc, budget airlines! Also I hope we do receive the PCR results before..just read some people didn't receive their results and missed their flight

If that happens, just do a quick ART test as that’s all that SG require

Tamara Holland-Martin. It's been interesting with a mix of good and bad. Twelve months ago I visited Patong and it was like a deserted film set. It was heartbreaking. A lot of the beaches were good because they were deserted, but there was no vibe except in Rawai which has a large expat community, but even that was suffering. I've travelled around the country and seen the good and bad of covid. Ko Chang, Samui, Samet all very quiet, struggling to stay afloat. I live in Bangkok, so it was hard to walk along Sukhumvit between Nana and Asok with its previous bustling night market, and see a deserted street. Nana Plaza a year ago all the bars were open but there was zero tourists. Chiang Mai, Chantaburi could get hotel rooms that previously were costing $80 Australian for just $20. Car hire from Suvarnabhumi at $18 a day is good but not so good when the places you go to are dead. But the last few months it's slowly coming alive again which is great. My father used to say no matter how bad the night is, the sun will always shine in the morning

If you go through Bangkok at the moment the only option is 7 day quarantine, so a short trip would not be fun unless they open up the test and go again, which is looking unlikely.

We did 7 days in Phuket via Test & Go. We flew directly into Phuket, but had to exit Thailand via Bangkok.

I saw that but the advice was a recommendation for a 7 day trip to Thailand. Maybe should have said a 7 day trip to Phuket at the moment as its the only option at this time to apply for a short trip of 7 days unless they open back up the test and go.

she was leaving via Bangkok.

your missing the point, if you travel to Thailand for 7 days and don’t use the Phuket sandbox from after the 22nd December you’re spending all your 7 days in quarantine in an asq hotel
