Just got my extension done. But my flight is on the 1st of June. What's my best option as I plan to return to Thailand in November. Thx.

Over stay 500 Baht . Per day sometimes they charge I’ve got away with it a few times . Depends on the official…

The best option for coming back in november is a flight to Helsinki and going on tour with this comfortable bus to BKK.

Let's get everyone on the same page (especially the O/P 😉)

You didn't EXTEND anything. 😮

That's just a new 30 day free ENTRY stamp to thailand you got at the Mae Sai / Tachileik border by exiting/re-entering.

I’ve noticed they are giving 29 days instead of 30 days. I have someone that can in on the 1st and they stamped the 30th. That’s only 29 days too.

Would be strange if they didn't count the day of arrival.

That would have meant you got no stay permit on the first day.

1st to the 30th inclusive is 30 days 🤷‍♂️ they always count the arrival day as ‘day 1’.

nope it’s 30 days, same for your friend that came on the 1st the day you enter is included as the first day so sucks if you come late in the evening at like 10pm as your first day is two hours for example but they are the rules 😁

the day you arrive counts as DAY #1

Honestly if you’re planning on coming back soon it’s a long wait in the departure lounge, as long as you are there before midnight may 31 you won’t get an overstay stamp.

You’ll get the fine waived as it’s only one day but the stamp itself can sometimes give trouble, chances are they’ll let you through with a one day overstay but might make it a bit longer when you get to the immigration line

.. Sorry I meant 1st of June. Lolz

You will be stamped on One Day OVERSTAY as you clear Thai Immigration... The 500 Thai baht fine will be waived and notation on the OVERSTAY STAMP in your passport.

If your flight departs early morning in the hours after midnight on June 1...

Check in and clear Thai Immigration before midnight of the LAST day allowed May 31.

Either way, this will not affect your plan to return to Thailand later this year.

.. My flight leaves at 11:30 on June 1st. So all I need to do is to show up at the departing airport and the worst thing that could happen is a 500 Bath fine for over staying?

Thx guys.

no fine for overstay less than 24 hrs departing from the airport, just the overstay stamp with fine waived notation

@Todd ***
Correct. The fine will be WAIVED... Per current practice of one day overstay at the airport.
