Can anyone tell me how easy (or possible) it is to change employers at the moment? I am on a non-b visa with a work permit and I would like to change employer and transfer it to the new one.

Many thanks.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Changing employers while on a Non-B visa with a work permit is possible, but it may depend on your current visa status, whether you have an extension of stay based on employment or are on the original 90-day stamp. It's essential to clarify your current situation and follow the necessary procedures to transfer your work permit to a new employer.

The first question we need answered IS

Are you on an "extension of stay" based on employment or still on the original 90 day stamp from the Non-B visa?

Yeah sorry it's not on me at.moment. It's the extension of stay until August 2021 I think.

Can I get the work permit changed?

you would need to work with BOTH employers, documentation from the current one to cancel your extension and documentation from the new one to apply for a new extension immediately after they cancelled it.

Whether you can or can't get the work permit changed is between you (seeing as it's your work permit) the current employer and the new employer AND the Ministry of Labour office where you got the work permit issued

thanks for the info. I'm going for interview Sunday with new place so I'll see how they feel. I can understand why employers feel they can be a bit unpleassnt now. They got me by the short and hairies hehe

there is no 90 day report when you get the 90 day Non-B VISA, you do that AFTER you get a yearly extension. What does the stamp in your passport say UNDER the location of where you got it issued? Does it say "extension of stay permitted until"? and have a date?

I ask that because IF you're on the 90 day stamp from getting an in country Non-B visa you can't change it to another employer, BUT if you're on an extension of stay you can cancel that one and apply for a new extension with the new employer.
