Hi! I am currently on a 60-day Tourist Visa that expires at the end of August and want to know if it is easy to get a covid extension visa or should I just do the 30-day extension? If you guys could offer some suggestions or help, I would truly appreciate it!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The ease of obtaining a Covid extension visa in Thailand after your current 60-day Tourist Visa depends on the specific immigration office you visit. Some offices may require you to first extend your visa for 30 days before applying for the Covid extension. Additionally, if allowed, applying for the Covid extension may start from the day of application, potentially resulting in loss of unused days on your current visa. It's recommended to check directly with your immigration office for their specific policies.

okay, this question is asked a LOT and it's totally up to the immigration office you use as far as IF they'll let you go straight onto a covid extension or if they make you take your regular 30 day extension first and then (if they're still available) apply for a covid extension.

Also keep in mind that some offices which do allow you to apply for the covid extension without the 30 day regular one first will start the covid extension the day you apply <- meaning if you go before you current stamp is close to running out you will lose those days.

The only thing you can do is CHECK with your immigration office and see what they will allow.

I know enough about it that you need to slog on over and ask yourself when it's time to get your extension ๐Ÿ˜•

, they'll know what's what, go ask them.

Where are you in thailand? Post on a f/b page related to that area and ask what people did. Face it you're not the only person who showed up here on a tourist visa and wanted to get the 60 day covid extension rather than their regular 30 day extension
