Regarding the 60 day covid extension, Does that apply to any foreign tourists currently in Thailand? For example, I arrived last week on a 60-day standard Tourist Visa (TR). When my tourist visa is about to expire in late March, may I apply for a 60-day "covid extension"...?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The ability to apply for a 60-day Covid extension for a standard Tourist Visa (TR) depends on the policies of the local immigration office. Generally, many offices require individuals with recent 60-day tourist visas to first apply for a standard 30-day extension. If permitted to apply for the Covid extension, it will usually start from the application date instead of extending the current visa's expiration date.

That is between you and your immigration office.

MOST offices are requiring people who have recently entered on 45 day visa exempt or 60 day tourist visas to get their 30 day 'regular' extension FIRST.

Some offices will let you apply for the 60 day covid extension BUT they tell you it will start the date you apply rather than be added to your current expiration date (like the 30 day regular extension is)

Check with your immigration office once you out of ASQ.
