Has anyone extended dtv visa in Chiang Mai. Just wondering if it's simple or easier to just do border run

Just take a brief vacation outside Thailand to explore SEA every 180 days. There’s absolutely no reason to essentially continue reapplying for the DTV. Enjoy your life.
