Hi All,
I've recently accepted a contract which based in Thailand and was told that I need a Non immigration B visa to get into the country. I'm currently stuck in Jakarta and my working permit has expired here and they won't allow me to renew it as I will no longer be working here in country. My Indonesian visa free period now expires on the 20th August after its second extension so therefore I need to get out of the country. Going back to be my country of origin is really not an option as the regulations are extremely strict and the first available flight isn't until mid September.
The Thai embassy here in Jakarta have advised that I need to have a letter of acceptance which is to be issued in Thailand and I had people in Thailand state that issuing of any Visa application approvals were put on hold. I can see that lately there are extension being granted but I guess I wanted to know if any new Visas are being processed and if so how do I go about getting this done or if there are any other options.
Thanks in advance
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is seeking advice on acquiring a Non-Immigrant B visa to enter Thailand as their contract in the country has been accepted, but they are currently stranded in Indonesia due to visa issues. They inquire about the status of new visa applications and look for other possible options to enter Thailand amid the current travel restrictions.
