TLDR : Answer Summary
An expat is seeking advice on obtaining a NON-B visa for Thailand while their work permit is being processed. They want to avoid returning through Laos due to the limitation of only issuing tourist visas there. Responses suggest possible options include visiting Thai consulates in Vientiane or Savannakhet, Laos, or looking into travel to Vietnam or Cambodia. The expat is also interested in cost-effective and quick travel options.

You can take your paperwork and go to the thai consulates in Vientiane or Savannakhet Lao to get your 90 day Non-B visa. Mexico isn't on the list of prohibited countries..

What is your nationality?

You take documentation from the place you're going to work at to a thai consulate in another country and apply for a 90 day Non-B visa

Also what is tramit?
