By end of December , i am going to apply for Non-b (teaching) in one of neighbouring countries. I was planning to go to Penang , however i have found out that it would be cheaper and easier in Lao - Could you let me know your advice shortly ? Lao-Savannakhet would be good destination for non-b ? Do i need to know any specific issue ? Many thanks in advance!

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user plans to apply for a Non-B (teaching) visa in Lao-Savannakhet rather than Penang. There are suggestions based on others' experiences, particularly in Vientiane, stating it is a reliable option for new teacher hires. Key advice includes ensuring all necessary documents are ready, including a passport-sized photo and a photocopy of the employer's ID card. It's also recommended to follow the company's advice on the best consulate to use and to be familiar with the specific requirements.
I think who ever told you there were 2000 people in the queue took some creative license. It definitely IS busy there on Mondays and Thursdays BUT there aren't 2000 people in line..;)
Where does the company you're going to work for suggest you go to get the visa? Many times they will recommend a consulate to use (and you should heed that advice) ;)
Read the requirements of the consulate you're going to use so you can have the documentation required..
I did mine in Vientiane, it went quite smoothly and the weight of opinion seems to be that it's the best option for new teacher hires. Make sure you have all the necessary docs including a passport sized photo and a photocopy of your employer's ID card.
