TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses the current strength of the UK pound against the Thai Baht, suggesting it's a favorable time for money transfers in anticipation of travel to Thailand in November. Various comments note fluctuations in exchange rates, differing opinions on the current strength of the pound, historical perspectives on currency values, and forecasts for future exchange rates. Users express mixed feelings, with some recommending securing rates above 44, while others caution that the pound remains weak compared to its past performance.

Learn about money first, all currencies are going down, so dont save in any fiat.

A currency going up against another just means that it is dropping less.

Nope, GBP still weak compared to baht and other performing currencies, still long way to go to reach at least 2015 exchange rate!

I think we need to see what happens with the government here.... It was over 1 baht more last year, nothing remarkable about the rate at the moment.
