TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the sufficiency of filing a TM30 through the Section 38 app for two residences in Thailand. Comments indicate that as long as the TM30 is registered for both places, it's primarily sufficient, particularly when staying within Thailand. The TM28 is noted as not necessary unless changing a permanent address.
If your official address is your condo in Bangkok, a TM30 is sufficient. When you travel inside Thailand you do not need to file a TM30. Only when you travel outside Thailand and return do you need to file a New TM30.
Bangkok CW Immigration does not require a new TM30 when travel is inside Thailand.
Its important that one checks with their local immigration office to learn if its TM30 filing requirements.
Went to Prachinburi immigration last week for a re entry permit and they told me when I get back to Thailand I have 24 hours to file a TM 30 AND a TM 28
The IO said the TM 30 is for the home owner (my wife) and the TM 28 is for the foreigner
TM28 is mostly not enforced, when it is, it is to advise a change of permanent address.. In reality you only have to worry about a TM30 for the area where you will be visiting immigration.
