I can't remember the official name of this process as it's been so long since I left the province ๐ but does anyone know if we still need to do the notification of address (or whatever its called!) when we leave and re-enter the province/ country (specifically I'm talking about in Phuket)?
And if yes, what documents are needed?
(I haven't changed my address so it's already registered)

TLDR : Answer Summary
In Phuket, it is required by Thai law to notify the local Immigration Office if you re-enter the province after staying elsewhere, even if you have not changed your registered address. The TM30 form should be filed to report your return. Enforcement of this rule may vary by office, especially after holiday periods.
and even though that says certificate of residence, what they mean is a TM30 ,- notification of foreigner in residence form

By Thai law, every person who arrives at a new address within 24 hours needs to be registered at the local Immigration Office. If you left Phuket and stayed elsewhere you need to report that you are back in Phuket, BUT some Immigration offices are more lenient with enforcement after holidays in country or even short visits abroad.
Call or contact the local Immigration Office about their enforcement of the rules.
