It’s definitely beneficial if you need to go to one of those private hospitals. They’re not cheap. My mom is currently in Bangkok Hospital pattaya after her kidneys suddenly failed. Luckily she has an insurance that pays the dialysis and stuff. I had to pay 40k as a security because the insurance didn’t immediately sent the guarantee of payment. I have an international expat health insurance which covers even pre existing conditions
