TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion centers around comparing three medical insurance providers in Thailand: Luma, April, and Cigna. A commenter notes poor claim experiences with Cigna and highlights their high premiums, suggesting that while they might be the only option for older clients without maximum entry age limits, they may not be the best choice for others. Luma is praised for its new plans that align well with the local healthcare system, while April is recognized as a reputable company offering both local and international plans with varied coverage and pricing. Ultimately, the best choice depends on individual circumstances like age, visa status, budget, and desired coverage.

Hi, currently, we don't have the best claim experience with Cigna. However, for some of our clients, they are (one of) the last option as they don't have a maximum entry age. But for those that have a choice, we would not really recommend them. Premiums are also quire high.
Luma just recently launched new plans with good coverage. They are local to Thailand and have plans that match the local health care system pretty well.
April is a very reputable and large insurance company with great plans. Like Cigna, they offer local plans and international plans. Coverage varies and so does pricing. April is a very good choice.
In the end it depends on your personal situation, age, visa, budget, desired coverage etc.
