I got approved DTV Mauy Thai. Gym issued me a letter as well. Do I need to print A copy of visa and letter to bring along at BKK upon arrival and every future 180 re-entry?

I read many posts, i.e people made some kind of small book with visa letter or plastic Laminated etc.

Inputs ......

Update: sorry to mentioned I used Los Angeles consulate and received approval letter on Sunday afternoon.
Answer summary
The general consensus among users is that you should print out your DTV visa approval letter and carry it when entering Thailand, as it may be required for airline staff during check-in and immigration upon arrival. The gym letter is not necessary to print. Some expats have recommended laminating the visa approval letter for durability, while others have successfully presented their visa on their phones. It's also advised to ensure you check the immigration stamp upon entry to confirm your 180-day allowance.

Never heard of Google Drive, Microsoft Onedrive or Dropbox or other cloud storage?

Just keep the visa with all documents in the cloud, then you don't loose your data wjhen you loose your phone.

I always have a physical print out of my visa and my DTAC and hand it over with my passport. It is a small effort to carry it and best to be prepared.

, upon returning to the USA to apply for DTV, I completed a 90-day stay and subsequently spent 25 days in Vietnam. During my re-entry at BKK, I was interrogated by an Immigration Officer, despite it being my first 90-day stay. I had to clarify my plans and presented my return ticket to the USA on the 57th day.

i may just do the 90 day stay, an then go from there

Good luck to you. You can always buy time in Vietnam. Not sure if there is rule, one must stay in applying country.

That's the same falsehood that many of my "WORKING by Choice" friends in the USA rationalize their being A Worker Bee. I remember an oncologist who was 80s, still working, and I understand his commitment. He was truly saving lives. If you share that same sense of purposeโ€”doing something for humanity or the universe Rather than just for a paycheck, visa dependency etc โ€”then I commend you.

On the other hand, many people have their own motivations, such as being a SIMP, supporting a local young lady and her family, or living beyond their means, all of which depend on their individual circumstances, right?

Indeed I will be retired one day, but that will almost certainly not mean I will live fulltime in Thailand, there are many good places in the world to live.

And again, you are wrong, I am not day dreaming and there is no reason to go to work.

I wonder how you can be always wrong, statistically you should say correct things every now and then by coincidence, but somehow you manage to get a 100 percent score with wrong info.

Congratulations with that!

You are clearly not good at judging how someone is feeling; as always, you are completely wrong again, but for a troll, that is perhaps not so strange.

What made you think I am bitter? I was just making a joke with joker
@Chris *********
I work when I like to work, and don't work when I don't like.

For a DTV holder there are only 4 choices.

1 = workcation, digital nomad which means you have to work like me.

2 = softpower/medical which means following activity or intensive medical treating

3 = dependant of DTV holder, which might be the best because no obligations

4 = abusing the visa and do like there are no obligations and just have holiday.

I did choose for 1, I don't like 2, I am not eligible for 3, 4 is illegal and therfore nor an option for me.

Thank You for your helpful report ๐Ÿ‘

Congratulations ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

PRINT OUT THE EMAIL THAT HAS YOUR DTV VISA.

That's what you should do... print it out.

You may have to show PROOF of your DTV Visa to airline staff on check-in for your flight โœˆ๏ธ to Thailand...even to the connecting airline staff. Or to the land border crossing entry Thai Immigration Officer.

Upon arrival into Thailand, show the DTV visa to the Thai Immigration Officer and look at the STAMP placed in your passport to be sure you are STAMPED in for 180 days.
