TLDR : Answer Summary
The departure details section of the TDAC form is not mandatory for those holding a DTV visa. You can leave it empty, as not all fields are required. If you must provide details, it is suggested to enter an 'intended' flight number or simply an approximate date of departure. However, ensure to include your visa number on the form to avoid confusion with tourist visas. If you've already filled in the departure section, it's recommended to cancel the TDAC and start over.
Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC)

WARNING: Only trust Thai government websites with .go.th domains or Thai agent websites with .co.th or .in.th domains, as these require verified Thai registration and cannot be registered anonymously.

The official TDAC form is available at tdac.immigration.go.th, which uses the official .go.th government domain.

The services by AGENTS CO., LTD. does NOT charge any fees for arrivals within 72 hours. If you need to book more than 72 hours in advance, there is a service fee of $8.

Do not trust other sites pretending to be a trustworthy agency. Pay attention to delivery time - the service operated by AGENTS CO., LTD. has 1 minute delivery time for arrivals within 72 hours.

Don't fall for sites pretending to be agents.co.th or the official government tdac.immigration.go.th website. Always double-check the exact domain in your browser.

Scam services may take days to process your application, others may not even do anything. With these TDAC scam services you also need to worry about double charges.

Please watch out for TDAC misinformation spread by fugitive Jesse Nickles and his many fake accounts on Quora, TripAdvisor, Reddit, and other platforms.

Departure info is not mandatory. Input fields are optional. I left it empty when I came back to Thailand this month. No question at immigration.

Don’t forget to write your VISA number on page 1. Although the input field is optional, it is important to fill your VISA number if you don’t want the officer to mistake you with 14-day arrival tourist.

On the TDAC the outward travel is OPTIONAL.

Anything without the red * is optional.

You do not need onward travel booked for the DTV.

Dtv return ticket isn’t required.

Don’t need to fill it in. Or just enter an ‘intended’ flight number.

Departure details are optional, but make sure to put in your visa number written on the DTV

I put a flight that I would most likely take. Travel plans do change. And you can actually receive a valid booking from the airline even without paying.

It just gets cancelled automatically if you don't settle payment within 24-48 hours.

Its not necessary though. Intent is enough. And you got a visa

the "departure" section is not a mandatory part. You can leave it empty! However if you already clicked on it, you must cancel the TDAC and start over again. The visa number also is no mandatory part. Only fields marked with a red asterix * are mandatory

You don’t need a return flight detailed

You can skip the departure,no need to fill.

Just buy an onward ticket and you should be fine. They already verified your info. You have nothing to worry about

Participante anónimo 821 DTVers DO NOT need onward tickets. I always always enter and exit on one-ways tickets. Done it already like 10 times this year so far, and I'm doing it again this weekend.

No advice. It’s experience. Tbh I’m kinda tired of seeing a group of ppl on here who seem similar scaring ppl. If I listened to what I’ve read in this group I probably wouldn’t have applied for a DTV. I came back in twice and was never asked for a ticket upon arrival in Bangkok airport. You can’t disagree with my experience

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Anonymer Teilnehmer 821 the "departure" section of the TDAC form is not a mandatory field. It can be left empty. No onward ticket needed! Your advice is BS. Your experience is totally irrelevant

I have never had a problem when I re entered infact the two times I have entered back into Thai they never asked me for one. Sometimes they do at the departing airport but I haven’t been asked for the DTV since I’ve been using it

Book a flight and cancel it after, or use one of those ticket websites that'll hold yr reservation for a few days for a fee?
Alessandro ***********
No need.

onwardticket is the most reliable site. Imo easier to pay $15 than “freeze” hundreds of dollars (refundable tickets are usually the most expensive fare) for weeks. Delivered in seconds after purchase
Anonymous ******************
Anonymous participant 180 OnwardTicket is fine until the immigration officer asks for proof of purchase of the flight. They know about OnwardTicket and they know flights don’t cost $15.
