Hey guys,

does anyone have experience with a border run on DTV on the same day?

My thoughts is to take a flight with Scoot from Samui to Singapore. Arrival 14:50 in Singapore and return on 18:00 from Singapore back to Samui.

Did anyone did something like this recently?

What documents should I prepare besides the E-visa print out?

It's my first border run on DTV.

Thanks for your answers.

Unlikely to face any issues flying into Samui. Immigration officers here are very relaxed

That means I don't have to go if I leave on 8th anyways. Did I got this correct?

if your report is due on the 7th and you're leaving on the 8th that means you will have been in Thailand 91 days and you need to report. If you are leaving on the 7th you could have ignored the report.

don't even bother with it, just leave, no one will care when you stamp out of the country or not that you did or didn't do a 90 day report

I have done this as I was quoted 6k for a border bounce from Samui to Malaysia but flights Samui to Singapore were about 9k and I thought it was worth the difference in price to avoid a full day on a bus on that border trip (and I was pregnant).

I landed Singapore 11ish and then came back to Samui the same day 6pm. Was asked what I did by immigration and I told them briefly what I did online, that was it. No documents or proof.

Did that again in August 2025 but made a little trip out of it and stayed in Singapore two days and no questions asked when I came back through Samui.

I will do it again this year too.

Maybe book a budget airline. The flight will delay of course and your arrival date will shift 😆

Samsung S24 Scoot ist already the budget airline from Singapore. I thought 3 hours on the Airport should be enough. Obviously does I fly without carry-on baggage. But is it in general possible?

yes it's is doable and many do same day border hops.Scoot is not as bad as other LCCs in terms of punctuality and service, I think.
