I am looking to relocate to thai early next year. Atm if I can prove monthly income of $3000 a month though I may have the 500,000 thb saved up before then but if I don't before I need to leave is the $3000 monthly sufficient ? to get a DTV VISA ? And I researched it's validity is 6 months at a time. Is visa runs legal ? Let's say I go to Vietnam for a few days and return to restart a new entry ??? Please advice

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is considering relocating to Thailand and questions whether a monthly income of $3000 is sufficient for obtaining a DTV Visa, given they might not meet the savings requirement of 500,000 THB before leaving. They also inquire about the legality of visa runs, such as traveling to Vietnam for a few days to reset their entry. Responses indicate that the primary requirement for the DTV Visa is having 500,000 THB in savings rather than a minimum income, and that visa runs are legal, allowing for a fresh entry stamp each time.
Thanks for the advise everyone. In this case which visa would y'all recommend to apply for as a digital nomad , to stay in Thailand while working remotely
Anonymer Teilnehmer the DTV… but if its a shorter stay then just come as a tourist in visa exemption. do extensions and a border run and 6 months are done… for 1 year an education visa is also an option. but if you can then just get the DTV.
exactly. Wanting to be in Thailand long-term without having to do a border run isn't a reason for them to grant it. It would sooner be a reason for them to deny it.
Doing a border run is fine, you get a fresh 180 day stamp every reentry. You must have 500K saved or via a sponsor to apply for the DTV, no minimum income requirement.
