Hey everyone,

I’m in Sa Kaeo and yesterday went to immigration where they advised they are unable to do a covid extension or any other type of extension for me. The level of English there is very low so any advice will be appreciated.

My Covid extension runs out on the 15th (3 days) and today I was in the hospital due to being involved in a motorbike accident. I have a doctors note advising that I require to go back to the hospital everyday for the next week. I will also need to get a 2nd tetanus shot next month and a 3rd in august.

Can I extend my visa? Any additional info would also be appreciated

Thanks all

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user in Sa Kaeo is seeking advice on extending their visa due to medical treatment needed after a motorcycle accident. They were informed by Immigration that they couldn't issue a Covid extension. Commenters mentioned the possibility of obtaining a medical extension, but stressed the importance of having proper documentation from the hospital to support this request.

I use Sakaeo Immigration and find them very helpful as regards speaking English there is a member of staff who normally works in the back office who has good English skills... Good Luck

I find sakaeo immigration very helpful. A number of them have perfectly adequate English. There is no entitlement to a Covid extension, if they don't want to give you one they don't have to. As to medical extension there is a process to follow and the hospital has to confirm you are unable to travel, they may not do that if all you need is a dressing change and an injection

You should be able to get a medical extension based on your immediate requirements for treatment but don't expect Tetanus to be classed as a reason. Did you present the letter to Immigration (did it contain the Doctor's phone number)?
